I understand all that. But I can envision all the ruckus when he ends up on the bench. I'll bet there is a consortium of gays, liberals, communists and what not who will be all over the media crying that the Rams didn't give him a chance because they're homophobic or some nonsense. Don't be surprised if that bastion of decency, Eric Holder, steps in. I see legal actions to force the Rams and the NFL to play him and pay him well.
