Warning: This is a very powerful message by a powerful young woman.

"An open letter to the White Privilege Conference 2014 attendees;

I’m in a state of shock right now. According to your conference, the accomplishments of my family going back generations simply do not exist. Allow me to explain. You see I am black. Your conference contends that this country was built on racism; you contend that a pernicious evil is the foundation of every institution and permeates every aspect of American life. According to you – to the degree that your conference completely negates my very existence.

My great grandfather would definitely disagree with your ideas. He grew up poor in the south, but he had both parents and was taught a work ethic that carried him into adulthood, marriage and service as an enlisted man in the US Army. His son, my Grandfather, went to high school, got married and went on to serve in the Army doing a tour in the Korean conflict. He returned home and attended Tuskegee University and became a teacher. His first child is my father, who also enlisted, fought in Vietnam and married my mother having me and then my sister. My dad went on to serve 26 years retiring honorably having traveled the world in service to this nation alongside the very white Christian men, you claim have oppressed him. He would disagree with you on that.

My great grandfather was a homeowner as was my granddad and my father. My grandfather was a deacon, and served on committees in his town, rising to a position of leadership in his community of largely white people in the Deep South.

My mother and her family members have similar stories of hard work and success, she grew up picking cotton and now has a double masters degree and a management job placing her firmly in the upper middle class.

Their story, my history, is rooted in the years of segregation in Jim Crow south. The stories that I have pried from my father about his childhood sting me to this day. Yet even that knowledge flies in the face of your cretinous attempt to cheapen the lives of millions of black Americans, striving to succeed and doing so. Your conference insults the truth of millions of white Americans who have never been the recipients of any largess and still struggle to achieve the American Dream.

I refuse to be cheapened by your poorly formed malicious ideology. The Age of Enlightenment was about just that; the idea that as an individual, I can reach for the stars and control my own destiny. Racism has no impact on that, because excellence goes before an individual paving the way to their goals.

I have experienced the fruit of my own failures, successes and not so stellar attempts and achieved excellence. I have many goals before me that I hope to reach through hard work and sacrifice. No amount of “white privilege” will ever stop me."

Wonderful response. Amazing how a civil war was fought and won by a whole lot of white and non-white soldiers - many who died- but no thanks given.

all I know that because I’m white I got to study hard in school, stay off drugs and alcohol in order to be a “good” person, find one mate, bear children and raise them myself, pay for everything for them, including college, work my entire life and save money and not be too frivolous, and for all that, I’m somehow evil...

In Obama's and the Left's reimagined America, you are un-American. Yes, being a responsible, even patriotic, American is now to be punished and eradicated.

Weapons system analyst takes a look at Victim's Industry newest technology: accusations of White Privilege

The lucrative Victim's Industry newest technology in time to Celebrate 100 years!

The beginning of the Victim's Industry as described by a critic who was there:

“There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. ~ Booker T. Washington (1856-1915.) ~ Educator, Author, Civil Rights Leader

Booker T. Washington was not only extremely intelligent, he was wise in sizing up people. He would be branded as an “Uncle Tom” by the race pimps of today who are still making their living selling the snake oil of victimhood in our universities, media and churches.

Anyone who calls white people privileged, is in effect calling them superior, and non-white people inferior.

“I’ve checked my privilege, and it’s working fine. That is why I enter through the front door. Those who are inferior need to be reminded that their entrance is through the back door, and that when they address their superiors, they should do so respectfully.”

As with climate change/disruption, the Leftists/Libs need to come up with a new concept/name/repackaging, since they got a Black president and they sort of neutralized ‘white guilt’.

Thus, is born a new evil: white privilege.

Look for them to toss it around as frequently as they do the race card. If they do it effectively, they can use it to continue their classism warfare. And, it doesn’t matter than many of their ‘victims’ get $tens-of-thousands per year in handouts, welfare, food stamps, rent subsidies, etc.

My story is similar except my father’s family was Irish Catholic. His grandfather came to this country with his family when he was 8 in 1850. They came in through New Orleans because they couldn’t afford a ticket to New York. His grandchildren all thrived. I’m not sure how many there were but it was close to 20. My dad’s grandchildren are thriving. Most have advanced degrees. Most are comfortably middle class and upper middle class. My mother was the first in my family on either side to graduate from college. All three of her children have advanced degrees because she and my dad worked hard and emphasized faith, family, and education.

I believe that the coming of Herman Cain, Allen West, Tim Scott, etc. has sent shivers down the spines of the Dems. That was the push that started the "amnesty" craze. If the GOP wants to reach out to minorities more, start with conservative blacks and conservative Hispanics. FWIW.

“White Privilege” is a branch of “critical race theory,” which is nothing more than a blame game for underachieving ethnic minorities and pluralities looking for excuses for their failure rather than a path to success. It is based upon feelings as opposed to science.

I almost cheered out loud when I read this, servo. Stacy & her family story mirrors that of my first co-worker. As people like them stand up & talk back, things are bound to change. These folks got shoved into the background so that the exploiters could have their way & have been drowned out by the din.
God Bless her & thank you for posting this.

Interesting take — I don't see the Republican party dong that though, they are just about as as hyped to push amnesty as the Democrats.
I think it makes more sense to think of the Democrats and Republicans as a single party — doing this better explains the utter lack of opposition that the Democrat party has within the Republican party and also the reason the Republican party platform means jack and the Republicans don't really strive to accomplish any of its stated planks.

It is more like a dual party than uni-party, IMO. It is like the hyenas and the lions agreeing on how to hunt and devour the antelope.

...the Republican party platform means jack...

I realized this circa 2004. Amnesty, no cut in government, increase in debt, no reply to MSM,...waiting...

We have been had, bamboozled, conned, scammed, grifted, sapped,...more...duct. tape...around...my...head.

The Leadership of the Repub party is all about the cha-ching.
