Unfortunately the old cold war horses have difficulty grasping the realities of how the world works today. They still see Russia as the USSR. ...and can’t get away from that mindset.
It pays well to see what the Atlantic Council is doing as well......they are now moving toward Moldova...three day visit by Pres. of the Council.....so there’r far more going on in Putin’s area of influence then most realize....if they knew they would see things differently perhaps.
I am not a Putin fan by any means...but I certainly respect and understand why he is doing what he is...we’d do the same if Russia had their Political Leadership prancing around in Canada or Mexico trying to display their leadership and install their own puppet Gov. (IE: Cuban Missle Crisis)
I did see that article...and there are other sources which also revealed this long in the works for Ukraine....amazinging Eu?US ignored Putins warnings time and time again...so here we are in the thick of it all!
BTW The US Foreign Policy is what is driving Europe’s actions and re-actions.....since we’re protecting their countries they have no choice but to deliver as this administration determines.

Reagan knew that sometimes you intervene, and sometimes you don’t This is a case where we should not have Us aid, arming them, no NGO’s. We should stay out of this, IMHO.
