Democratic Sen. Mark Begich leads all of his GOP rivals, according to a new PPP poll; he leads Dan Sullivan, 42 percent to 37 percent; Mead Treadwell, 41 percent to 33 percent; and Joe Miller, 43 percent to 27 percent. Within the GOP primary race, Sullivan leads his rivals with 40 percent supporting him. Treadwell comes in second with 26 percent followed by Miller with 14 percent

I’d say any incumbent that is polling in the low 40% range is in DEEP crap........but there’s no accounting for the thought process of many voters at that critical time.
they have mostly voted for the best ‘crony’ over the years. Even the GOPers were the ones who brought home bacon. Palin being the exception.
Begnich got to the Senate because the Democrats lied about Sen. Stevens accepting a bribe. He should be thrown out for being illegitimately elected in the first place.
That the citizens of AK are represented by two crooked characters like Begich and Merkowski makes one marvel that Sarah Palin ever became Governor.
The measure of a man is what he does with power. ~Plato
That is a clear warning sign for an incumbent. Also consider that this is a PPP poll. Their mission is to sell polls and help Democrats, so this is probably the best news possible for their side. Cause for concern in Demo Land.
What percentage of the citizens is on welfare/disability?
Just so long as that idiot Joe Miller isn’t our nominee we should be fine.
Begich is pretending to be a moderate just like Pryor, Machin, etc. Democrat leadership helps protect their “DINO’s” by letting them vote against the party on all but leadership and the really key votes like Obamacare. They give their moderates a lot of leeway cause they know they are essentially stealing seats that should be ours.
PPP is an Obama Democrat poll!!! Their game is always to lie and show the Democrat way ahead....early in the race. Then....as the race gets closer to the election day....they change their polling numbers so as to be close to the final results. Couple of examples: The Wisconsin Governor race with Scott Walker and the Congressional race in Florida between Democrat Alex Sink & David Jolly.
PPP had Sink beating Jolly, Jolly, of couse spanked Sink, and Walker down seven point two weeks befor election day.....Walker won, by seven percent!!! So.....heed nothing PPP puts forth!!! Like Obama & His Obamabot Democraats....they lie....all the time.
Pee Pee Polls are weighted to give demonrats an extra 5-10 points.
You’re right. Miller is damaged goods. The idiotic way he ran his last campaign pretty much ensured that the MereCow would win on a write-in vote whereas Begich’s betrayal ensured the Jackass nominee would not.
When you start splitting the vote and then fail to reconcile and get behind the primary winner, you lose.
GOP candidates are great at taking their ball—and their supporting voters—and going home if they can’t win the primary.
I'm not real familiar with AK politics. What were Miller's dumbest moves?
Q17 In the last presidential election, did you vote for Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?
Barack Obama....38%
Mitt Romney.. 47%
Someone else / Don't remember 16%
Mitt won 55-41... and who the heck doesn't remember who they voted for????
Democrat ...... 18%
Republican.... 29%
Independent / Other........ 53%
Biggest POS poll seen in a while
Alaskan freepers can comment far better than I. But from the reports I read, the guy wouldn’t even bother to shave and ran nothing but a negative campaign on his opponents. In short, the textbook case of how to grab defeat from the jaws of victory. I ran a more sophisticated campaign for high school student body president when I was 17.
PPP is a liberal group, so their poll probably skews left. And 5 points isn’t far from the margin of error.
Incumbent Senators are like a bad case of bronchitis... extremely difficult to get rid of. Among the five seats I’ve predicted would flip to the GOP, Alaska’s is one of them.
Good God, Alaska... Begich was a big supporter of Obamacare. Snap out of your stupor!
