Ky. ag agency sues for release of hemp seeds May. 14, 2014 6:21pm

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky's Agriculture Department sued the federal government Wednesday, seeking the release of imported hemp seeds that have been held up by customs officials.

The state said it needs to get the seeds in the ground for the spring season and each day they are held up jeopardizes the yield.

The 250-pound shipment from Italy has been held for more than a week by customs officials in Louisville.

"No state should have to endure what Kentucky has gone through in this process. We must take a stand against federal government overreach," Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said.

And they trust the Customs Bureau, Dept. of Agriculture and Homeland Security? Surely they jest.

Ky says, don’t mess with our pot. You are on sacred ground. Manure could hit rotating propeller blades.

Notice Col. has 1700 acres in the ground or at least approved. Ky is a red state. Did not vote for the Obomanation twice. Hence the hold up?

Hem is near worthless for smoking and if you’re really dead set against pot you should be all for hemp because growing it ruins smoking weed by uncontrolled cross pollination.

"This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff. Here, I've got pounds of this."

I am not dead set against pot at all, I just don’t care if folks smoke it or not. If you grow indoors or underground and filter the air should not be a problem with cross pollination.
I grew up with kids that became growers. The ones still alive or not in jail are still friends. When they get out of jail they will still be friends.
I am for hemp because it is perfect for the Ky climate and we were the number one producing state for hemp years ago. It is a very productive plant that could be a boon to small farmers in Ky. Grow the stuff for whatever you can make out of it which about anything.
I have a problem with hard drugs and the crime that comes with it. Pot is not a hard drug. The price is to high though. I should have said, so I hear.

Imagine a state governor with a backbone—— yeah, I know there aren’t any—— who would send in, say, state troopers and just physically seize the property belonging to his state such as in this instance. He would be a national hero. Never happen alas.

Our governor is a democommie and bought and paid for by Obozo. He will never go against these folks. He is a Brashear too and I am related to them, don’t know about him though.
