Tea Party Roars Back, All Eyes Now Turn to Mississippi
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 14, 2014 | Michael Patrick Leahy

The Tea Party, left for dead by the mainstream media only a week ago, roared back to life on Tuesday with two big Republican primary victories in Nebraska and West Virginia.

All eyes now turn to Mississippi's June 3 Republican U.S. Senate primary between establishment incumbent Thad Cochran (R-MS) and Tea Party-backed state senator Chris McDaniel as the next big test of the Tea Party's ability to win elections.

In Nebraska, the Republican U.S. Senate primary race that many thought had tightened into a three way race turned into a romp for Tea Party-backed Ben Sasse, who easily won with 49 percent of the vote. Millionaire banker Sid Dinsdale finished a distant second with 22 percent, and Shane Osborn, who was backed by Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham and spurned by all the national Tea Party groups though supported by local Tea Party activists, finished a surprisingly non-competitive third with 21 percent of the vote.

In West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District, Tea Party-backed Alex Mooney coasted to victory in a crowded field of seven. Mooney won 36 percent of the vote, defeating second place finisher Ken Reed who trailed with 22 percent....

Any chance that sweetheart Lindsey Graham gets booted? I sure hope so.

I hear not, but it could very well be the LSM whistling past history's graveyard.

Well I am a Tea Partier and I couldn't care less what Sal Russo has to say about anything.
Nice thing about the “Tea Party” is we really don't have any particular party leaders or party national leaders, we do however have a lot of people who pay attention.
Some have a national voice, most just have a local voice.
You should always remember that “All Politics is Local”.
That's where we start, ultimately those elected at the local level, if they stay true to their principals will go on to national office.

Funny how the media tried to convince people the tea party was dead right before elections.

You ought to be able to sue for false reporting.

Sometimes folks...myself...courtesy ping other interested parties to ones response

The first addy goes to the one you're having a direct conflict with...and then other interested posters on the thread or not

Usually those receiving know if the incoming is directed at them directly or if replying poster is beefing with you or not

Had I received the post you did and had not argued with Agamemnon then I would figure I was just being pinged as interested party

That's how I've done it 14 years

Have a nice day

Lots of McDaniel signs around the area. I find it interesting that Palazzo, who ousted Gene Taylor, seems to be losing traction and there are also a lot of Gene Taylor signs right next to the McDaniel signs. Taylor (one of the last blue dog democrats and the only Dim I’ve ever voted for) is being touted as the ‘conservative choice”.

You'll notice that it was not you that I quoted, but "ChicagoLady" who seems to have a problem with the Tea Party candidates winning who aren't perfect in every measure. I posted on the basis of what she had replied to you, so I included you in my response.

We're on the same side on this issue.
