Obama should concentrate on the vulnerability of the big blue water US Navy ships deployed in the narrow confines of the heavily fortified Persian Gulf. The Iranians are well armed with Chinese made shore to ship missiles and other weapon systems. The US Navy faces a debacle worse than Pearl Harbor in less than fifteen minutes. When shooting starts the are many scenarios in which the US willingly or unwillingly will be engaged. Those 8-10,000 young sailors are at extreme risk.
