Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki says he welcomes a White House review of his beleaguered department if it can help ensure veterans have access to timely, quality health care.
Shinseki was to go before a Senate committee Thursday to address allegations of treatment delays and preventable deaths at a Phoenix veterans hospital.

Of course he welcomes a White House Review. They can be found quilty and pardoned on the same day.
That said, I am one of many satisfied VA health care users.

Me too. They are first rate in Baltimore.
Of course. The gangster Thug in the Oval Office is his man - he put him in power and the Gangster Thug doesn’t give a rat’s @** about veterans anyway.
If the ‘second tier’ registration list happened at multiple facilities, it had to have been a coordinated effort. This idea came from the top. Shinseki must resign.

From what I understand, Shinseki has been head of the VA for five years. Just what has he been doing all that time, sitting in his officer playing Mozart records? I guess he thought that this job was his “reward” and he didn’t have to do anything substantive, just collect a big paycheck. If he were the CEO of a company, he’d have been gone three or four years ago.
More self investigations
Although Memphis is on the list of suspects, I have had no problems in the past seven years. In fact, the staff, once you get away from the receptionists, could not be friendlier or more helpful.
More self investigation. . .
I was almost killed by the uncaring, incompetent, nasty, untrained, rude staff and nurses at the Long Beach VA hospital.
I wrote a comprehensive IG complaint and specifically asked the IG to bring someone from outside to do the investigation as the problems indicated a systemic, hospital-wide problem, too inlcude the hospital director herself. . .and. . .yup. . .you guessed it, the IG turned over my letter to the VA director at the Long Beach VA hospital and SHE investigated herself and staff and found my list of specific and detailed accounting of unsanitary, illogical, unsafe and cruel treatment to be completely groundless.
Rotten from the head down.
Hope you’re doing ok.
What White House review?
Me too. The VA Clinic in Viera, Florida provides me with top notch medical care with rarely any waiting time. It's sad to hear reports like yours, Hulka. Let's hope this is not a widespread problem and that corrections are made throughout the VA. This reminds me a bit of the scandal at Arlington National Cemetery a few years ago that got the spotlight shown on the problems and is now squared away.
The white house will find out they bought too many large paper clips.
Just like HOlder’s investigations into Holder.
“I have investigated myself and didn’t find any wrong doing.”
Actually, I was released from the hospital after 5-days and then was called back the next day (I had MRSA). They wanted me back for a 14-day in-patient IV treatment plan.
I said “no way” and booked the first flight the next morning to my home in the DFW area, flew back and immediately checked in the Flower Mound Presbyterian Hospital. OUTSTANDING service, simply the best docs, and the nursing staff (a true measure of your medical care) were saints. I spent 9-days in hospital with them, airy, air-conditioned single room, free wireless, nice TV (flat-screen), and the food was outstanding.
Completely different than government health care where the nurses were mostly obama’s girls, and docs (from third world and most had English as a second language), crowded with four beds in a room clearly designed for two, where there was a sign warning nurses and docs to suite-up when entering because I was in the room (no worry about the other patients in the room), stuffy, old/heavy washed out color TV's hanging over the foot of your bed and seeing several screws missing from the mounting brackets, unclean room and communal bathroom and showers with left-over gauze bandages and gnats and mildew. Food was trucked in from downtown LA and was foul and inedible. . .seriously.
I posted on FR my ghastly VA experience. . .sometime back in, I think late 2010 or early 2011.
Hope so, but I am worried that the entire health care world under obamacare will end up like the VA in Long Beach.
See my post 16 for a little more detail.
Maybe large cities have this issue, as I know a couple people that swear by the smaller VA facilities, while at the same time I know several people that share my negative experience and all were ‘treated’ at a facility in a large population center.
We have scripps In San Diego. Outstanding
Best wishes
