Federal health-care subsidies may be too high or too low for more than 1 million Americans

The government may be paying incorrect subsidies to more than 1 million Americans for their health plans in the new federal insurance marketplace and has been unable so far to fix the errors, according to internal documents and three people familiar with the situation.

The problem means that potentially hundreds of thousands of people are receiving bigger subsidies than they deserve. They are part of a large group of Americans who listed incomes on their insurance applications that differ significantly — either too low or too high — from those on file with the Internal Revenue Service, documents show.

So piles of unprocessed “proof” documents are sitting in a federal contractor’s Kentucky office, and the government continues to pay insurance subsidies that may be too generous or too meager. Administration officials do not yet know what proportion are overpayments or underpayments. Under current rules, people receiving unwarranted subsidies will be required to return the excess next year.

These headlines are so stupid. I guess we can't all be the Goldilox of health-care subsidies.

How about we don't redistribute wages in the first place? How about all those guys out there that are able to pick up the girls I can't? Should there be redistribution of hot chicks?

Oh, I can’t wait until people gets hit at the end of the year for demand for $2-3,0000 back. For insurance that they didn’t want to ‘buy’ in the first place.

This is going to get really good.

There are a lot of people who can’t accurately estimate their income in advance. People on commission, self employed or contract workers, temp workers, people who were underemployed but then got a better job, or people who get layed off halfway through the year.

And what about people who see their income go up just enough to go over the line which designates getting a subsidy?

You get a $3,000 raise and suddenly your $2,400 subsidy is gone so it is as if you got no raise at all.

Why, oh why do We, the People have any compelling reasons to vote for any Doormat Republicans, or Obama Democrats who have promised to advance Obama’s Agenda to “Fundamentally transform the United States of America” by increasing the number of undocumented Democrat voters who are Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico?

All Doormat Boehner has tio do is NOT bring his Boehner Amnesty Bill in the House up for a vote and Reid’s Senate Amnesty bill dies a well-deserved, and NECESSARY death.

We, the People have seen our Federal Politicians in the Republican and Democrat Party enable Obama, for over five years, to bring great harm to the United States of America.

Those, in “both” political parties, who can’t stand America, stand against We, the People.

We, the People know that it is time, - - - time for a change in 2014.

Julie Bataille, communications director for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency overseeing the federal insurance exchange, said: “The marketplace has successfully processed tens of millions of pieces of data — everything from Social Security numbers to tribal status to annual income.

TRIBAL STATUS?????

We are a third-world country now.

That has to do with American Indians. The expansion of “tribal status” has basically gone on since the end of WWII.
