Representatives for Michael Sam announced Friday night that the Oprah Winfrey Network documentary about the NFL's first openly gay player has been put on hold.
The postponement came after meetings with the St. Louis Rams, who selected Sam in the seventh round of the NFL Draft last weekend.
"After careful consideration and discussion with the St. Louis Rams, 'The Untitled Michael Sam Project' has been postponed, allowing Michael the best opportunity to achieve his dream of making the team," Erik Logan, president of the network, said in a statement.

The NFL IS a reality show. They don’t want competitors.
I see Sam as being the next “Nobel Peace Prize” recipient after being drafted by the “openly gay” NFL. Watch for it! Everybody gets a trophy!

Translation: We want to see if Sam washes out before we spend the money.
Sam The Sham
LOL
More likely translation:
Rams: I thought you said you wanted to be a NFL player first and foremost?
Sam: Yes.
Rams: Call Oprah and tell her it's cancelled if you want to have a shot at making the team.
No, the NFL and Rams were likely getting heat from their fans about the kiss and did not want to go any further. Oprah overstepped her bounds.
Pray America wakes up
No it wasn’t that but that the Rams and NFL didn’t know that there was a documentary going on before he was drafted. Its surprising that some ESPN commentators have criticize Sam for being all about the money and not trying to make the roster which is a very difficult thing to do for a undersized 7th round pick who joins a team that’s already stack on the defensive side.
Or maybe they did know, but didn’t expect the blowback they got.
And here I was ready to call, and get Oprah’s network.
I don’t get the Oprah channel; it’s on a higher tier of cable package.
I thought we were required to get Oprah’s channel, otherwise be accused of homophobia. I thought that this show would be required viewing.
(sarcasm)
LOL!
OWN...that’s still on the air?
This whole story has been WAY over the top and Sam is being exposed as a fraud. His postponement of “coming out” and his “secret” being held by Missouri’s team and administration was initially excused as he didnt want to “cause a distraction” his Sr. season.
Yet it was fine and dandy for him and his handlers to “come out” prior to the combine and draft, knowing full well there would be a “distraction” (read: “obsession”) since he was no longer an amateur (and now I think that might be open to question . . . see his relationship with the handlers) and there were big bucks to be made. If he got drafted high = win. Drafted low or undrafted (the most likely status) also = win because then he could use the excuse of being homosexual (which he has indeed done)
Then came the predictable commercial(s) and now the revelation of the racist Oprah’s “reality” show. Lo and behold, no pre draft notice to anyone this was already on the books
Anyone who believes now Sam’s statement that he didn’t want to be a celebrity or an icon or whatever else BS he said, has been totally fooled. All of this was planned from the outset.
Sam The Scam
When Jason Whitlock, who has been a vocal Sam supporter, learned of the reality show, he suggested the Rams should cut him immediately.

He get knocked up?
The networks are flooded with gays liberals and blacks one more show will go unnoticed call it careful consideration.
When Tebow went to the NY Jets, it was the same type of situation. Tebow was swarmed with media attention which aroused the resentment of his teammates - especially as the starters were virtually ignored in favor of this 2nd or 3rd string QB. Now this wasn't Tebow's fault but the media frenzy did him no favors whatsoever.
Here's how you do that.

From what I heard the Rams didn’t know but the NFL did.
