Check your bigotry

It was called by some the ouroboros — a serpent that swallows its own tail. For some it was an early emblem of utter futility. And I think about it when I hear some of the strange, absurd and utterly self-contradictory reports from North American campuses, particularly those that come filed under the “anti-racism” banner.

For if there is one movement, that by its humourlessness, its obsessive mania and its blindness to its failings, chokes on its own goals, it is the so-called anti-racism movement. And you will find its most feverish exemplars in the very citadels of reason, the modern-day university campus. Nowhere in the West will one find such fundamentalist fury as in the frenzies of campus political correctness on the subject of race.

Yes, racism is a big No-No here in the United States.

Well, unless your Black, of course. Or Hispanic. Or Asian or...

Well, racism is a big No-No here in the United States if you’re White.

The futility is that the “anti-racists” are obsessed by race.

A racist to them is anyone who doesn’t share their obsession.

As one of the commentators said [paraphrasing], if “transgender” people can be whatever “gender” they claim to identify with, why can’t you be whatever “race” you identify with. You say you’re an Hispanic-Afro-Asian — who can argue with you? It works for Obama.

No such thing as “anti-racism” it being nothing more than a code word for anti-white.

People need to stop allowing crack-pot fanatics, who seek to force a uniformity of thought on social, racial or theological issues, to define terms of opprobrium. It is idiotic, for example, to demonize anyone, white or black, Anglo or Hispanic, or whatever, because he prefers those with whom he shares a common ancestry, common history & common values.

Doing mean spirited things to other people, simply because they are different, is as defined "mean-spirited," and therefore undesirable behavior so far as anyone of true good will is concerned. But normal human associations & preferences are positive spirited things.

What these academic crack-pots described in the article have in common is a Compulsion For Uniformity. While they can not make all of the rest of us the same; they are determined to make us dance in their make believe world where we pretend that every body is the same. It is way past time to say "No!"

” It is way past time to say “No!”

Especially when they parrot their latest meme, “We do NOT have to tolerate intolerance!”

When you have a race of criminal thugs purporting violence on another wouldn’t you want to segregate and curtail whatever race is preying on you and yours?

When the New England olde family egotistical egghead professor from some New England college, comes home, and finds that their only daughter’s par amour is a half-Negro/half-Puerto-Rican lesbian, of some time now, in flagrante delecto, I know I would lose the bet, at any odds, of that professor not keeping with the Newspeak at that moment.

The overt war on white people in general and men in particular makes these “privilege” and “racism” charges absurd (and are designed to prevent debate about, or legal challenges to, said war).

I speak about affirmative action until I’m blue in the face so it can’t be ignored; nobody will ever raise the question of “privilege” with me...

Gender is much more specifically defined than race - DNA and chromosomes. Therefore, your comment makes a great deal of sense.

every white person is a bundle of unearned advantages, owns a place purely because of his/her skin colour, and wanders through life with a Free For Me Pass simply because daddy and mommy, and their daddy and mommy, were white. It’s astonishing. Could there be a better definition of racism, a better example of a purely racist concept, than this, the holding that all a person does and is springs from the colour of his skin?

well said
