ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) A Minnesota gun maker is moving its operation to Alabama as part of a major restructuring of its parent company.

St. Cloud-based DPMS Panther Arms manufactures AR-15 and other rifles. Remington Outdoor Co., which controls DPMS Panther Arms, said Thursday it is consolidating multiple company plants into a new facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

Smart move on their part. Most Dems in MN seem to think the 2nd Amendment is about hunting and Dems run the state.

It looks like New York is losing some workers to Alabama as well. It was only a matter of time for this company.

This keeps happening and in CW II the situation regarding the cannon factories Rhett Butler referred to as lacking in the South will be reversed.

And it will matter to a great number of yankees!

9 you know, it looks more and more like that Russian guy who predicted the fragmented of America just might be right.

WSJ - The End of the U.S.?
12/29/2008 – The Wall Street Journal printed an article entitled, “The End of the U.S.?” about Russian professor and political scientist, Igor Panarin, who 1st predicted in 1998 that the U.S. would probably disintegrate into 6 parts by JUL 2010. "There's a 55-45% chance right now that disintegration will occur. … One could rejoice in that process ... .But if we're talking reasonably, it's not the best scenario -- for Russia." Though Russia would become more powerful on the global stage, he said, its economy would suffer because it currently depended heavily on the dollar and on trade with the U.S. He forecasted financial and demographic changes within the U.S. which would provoke a political crisis in which the wealthier states would withhold funds from the federal government. These wealthier states would effectively secede from the Union, leading to social unrest, civil war, national division, and intervention of foreign powers. The break-up would also lead to mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation.

If my memory is correct, this isn't the first arms/munitions company which the Huntsville area has landed, right?

If push comes to shove, it might come in very handy for all the munitions and arms plants to be located in non-Marxist areas of the nation.

I’m surprised that anyone would start a business in this state.
