San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro is about to be tapped by President Barrack Obama to be the next Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This is the second time Obama will have asked Castro to serve in his administration.
The move for Castro comes at a time where a big game of musical chairs is going on in the Obama Cabinet. Castro will be asked to replace HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan, who is expected to move to head the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

He also would be the Left's answer to the possibility of Rubio being on the GOP ticket.
At least Rubio is a nice-looking guy. Castro's photos are on Wiki. To me, he looks kinda creepy.

Guy ran for office and was a hoot. He’d get excited and his voice would take off. As my friends on the West side would say, ‘mas hoto.’ He loses the election and disappears. A couple of years later he comes back. His voice is lower, they start showing him playing football with his friends, and he has a wife.
Guess some money on a ‘consultant’ was well spent.
The Mexican-American Castro brothers are the American version of the Cuban Castro brothers, sharing the same hatred for United States, a family of very leftist radicals members of a Latino group, La Raza, a separatist movement dedicated to establishing a new country, Aztlan, in the American southwest.
Their mother, Rosie Castro, is since the 1970’s a militant founder of La Raza, anti-American organization. Back in 2010, Castro’s mother, Rosie, stated that she did not approve of the educational field trips to Texas landmark The Alamo.
“They used to take us there when we were schoolchildren,” Rosie Castro said at the time in an interview to The New York Times Magazine. “They told us how glorious that battle was. When I grew up, I learned that the ‘heroes’ of the Alamo were a bunch of drunks and crooks and slaveholding imperialists who conquered land that didn’t belong to them. But as a little girl I got the message—we were losers. I can truly say that I hate that place and everything it stands for.”
Texans worship what The Alamo stands for—a symbol of independence.
There are many reasons I do not live in cities-people like Ms. Castro is one of them. I was offended along with a number of family members and friends at her remarks about trips to the Alamo-remarks that prompted one relative to remark that the woman belonged in a psychiatric facility. All she is doing is showing her ignorance and anger because someone pissed in her post toasties...
Some of my ancestors fought in the war for Texas Independence, tired as anyone else of the corrupt government of Mexico-they were not slave holders, or crooks-they were ranchers in southwest Texas, living on land they had been welcomed to as subjects of the Spanish crown in the late 1700’s, having come there from Mexico-many still live there, ranching pretty much the same way.
We are of Hispanic ancestry-Basques, coming from Spain in the 16th-17th century, so we’ve been here awhile-and no one I know has any use for La Raza. It is not as big a deal here it is in California-but it is a place for haters to congregate and agitate, and those whose ancestors haven’t been here long enough to be real Texans/Americans-give them another 100 years, and they might get with the program-if they don’t want to, I’ll personally escort a few back to Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatamala, or wherever...
