Apparently the oldest brother told the pastor of the church, who told him that this was not normal. Then oldest went to police and confessed. All I can guess is that the parents are the crazy ones and the kids were raised in such an echo chamber that only when the oldest was getting out into the normal world did he realized that this is Not Good.

Sounds as if this family badly needed a moral reference point/horizon. Glad the older brother grew enough of a conscience to confess.

FYI: Poke ‘weed’ is known as Poke Stalk or Poke Salad, but never eat over 3-3 1/2 ft high, gets pithy holes.. in my part of the south. Tastes like okra...usually breaded and fried....aka poor man’s okra in the mountains.

Read the article. One of the sons confessed to his pastor. Then the son went to the police and confessed. Then other siblings corroborated.
