I was able to get the A/C in the Van recharged, thank the Lord!

That is GOOD news! It's 72 right now....I tried to use the A/C in the new car just to see if I could while on my errands. I couldn't. Have to read up. Never had A/C before, ever.

A/C:
Fan on,
A/C on,
Set desired temperature.
Turning the fan down one speed, from full for a minute or two, will increase the cold when turned back up.
This make mine blow snow if it is damp out side. :)

“Make sure you turn the A/C off a minute or two before you switch off the engine. (I believe you are in a Tropical maritime climate the same as me.)
Failure to do this causes a lot of condensation ,water can pour out from under the car on a hot humid day if the system hasn’t been warmed back up before turning the engine off.( Plus it causes corrosion.)
The Fan sould be the last part of the systen to be turned off, with the vents blowing warm external air.”
This is redrafted from my Hyundai handbook.

You will never want a car without it again. :)
