America might be less segregated now than ever, but it remains far from total racial integration.
2010 Census maps, posted to Reddit by user DMan9797, illustrate this point well.

I think not!
Those maps don’t prove a damned thing .Least of all Segregation.
All they do prove is tha people move to where it’s economically feasable and where it’s most comfortable to live.
That makes it a voluntary choice on the part of the individual .
A lot of minority rich areas of the south don’t have enough economic base to support both blacks and hispanics vying for the same jobs unless it’s a city of medium size or better.
The scattered counties of Hispanic density tend to have intensive agriculture which hasn’t been a black minority dominated industry for decades.
I really don’t want to live around anyone whose culture likes incarceration, drug use & sale, gangs and other uncivilized behaviors. I don’t care what “color” they are. It is a free country...live where ever you want to live.

Ah a new differentiation from the inventors of “white hispanics”. Whatever happened to the idea of US being (name the skin color)American ? Guess that might not help with voting “demographics”, and splitting US apart so we can be “controlled “better.

Swedes ?
There are counties in Alabama that are 80+% Black. This is in an area called the Black Belt (from the soil color) that was a major cotton growing area in the past.
One of these counties gave Algore the highest percentage vote that any presidential candidate had ever received in the history of the country.

Ha, my grandmother was a full bloodied Swede who ended up in N. Louisiana.
The South was the least racist of the lot. New England, followed closely by Minnesota, was the Worst.
The Massive Liberal Failure on Race
What does that mean - racist? Generally speaking all races are 'racist' and have been throughout history. So what does that mean?
segregated? maybe self-segregated,
segregation is the forcible containment of certain races to using separate services than other races.
This includes:
1. Housing
2. Schools
3. Government Services
4. Eating Establishments
5. Drinking Establishments
6. Grocery Stores
7. Department Stores
8. Banks
Educate people, we have these mind numbed new lib-arts grads trying to redefine what words mean to blur the past.
It means southerners are more apt to judge someone based on their individual character than the color of their skin, than a New Englander or a Minnesotan.
I means that when a black man walks into a Southern store, people merely glance at him, not watch him fearfully like a hawk.
It means that a Southerner hires a handyman based on how good a job he does, not because one expects extra points for being so progressive as to hire a black man.
