She’s one of those loyal Leftists who doggedly defends her progressive pals, even to the point of lying on national TV.

The ever-erudite, reliably pompous Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor and publisher of The Nation, was part of the panel on CBS’ Face the Nation over the weekend. And true to form, Ms. van den Huevel served up a whopper regarding the exploding scandal in the Veterans Administration.

Who’s to blame for the V.A.’s shoddy care of our military veterans? Why, not the current president or his administration. But the previous man in the White House, don’t you know — George W. Bush. Said van den Heuvel to show host Bob Schieffer:

The new captain of the ship is responsible for the state of the current ship. Then too, 0bozo is on his second tour.

"but for 6 years what did Obama do..."

It appears "he watched basketball and played golf" is the correct answer.

Don’t forget, Obama was on the Senate Veteran Affairs Committee for two years before he became Pres__ent.
Harry Reid was running the Show then too.

Why didn’t they do anything to fix the problem back then?

Wow, she went old-school. But there is a point where even retro simply no longer works. Blaming Bush hit that point three or four years ago.

The New York Slimes might be staring at their shoes for a while on this one. They gave Shinseki a big “go get ‘em!” back in 2008 as they backhanded you know who:

““You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader,” General Shinseki said at the time of his retirement in 2003. “You can certainly command without that sense of commitment, but you cannot lead without it.” Those words were a rebuke to the Bush administration. It is heartening to know that the man who spoke them has been chosen to lead the agency charged with caring for America’s veterans, who deserve far better treatment than the country has given them.”

It is just like Rush says - this President is not really the president and thus the reason for 5+ years of campaigning and promises of fixing stuff because he really doesn't have anything to do with the Administration currently in place. For goodness sake we listened to Boy Carney say again today the Admin only first found out about this "scandal" from the news networks a couple of days ago.

I think Rush refers to it as the "LIMBAUGH THEROEM"

There's only one answer. People do not associate Obama with his agenda, and that's because he's permanently campaigning. He's running against his own agenda, by design, on purpose. He's running against what's happening. He makes people think that he doesn't like what's happening and he's trying to fix it when in fact everything that's happening is precisely because he wants it to and has made it happen. So here comes a story in the Wall Street Journal. It's an opinion piece by a guy named Jason Riley. And it's entitled, "Obama's Poll Numbers."

How about this

Nobody is more anything than President Obama

Or this

Obama: I will not rest

Obama didn’t know it was Bush’s fault until he read it in the newspaper.

I didn’t know that, but I think that fact should be part of the GOP talking points every time a tries to spout off that it’s Bush’ fault.

From the time I heard of this story, I said the left would pin it on Bush and lo and behold, my prediction came true.

Who’s surprised?

Of course it’s Bush’s fault. Because 6 years in, Obama doesn’t know what’s going on. He is ignorant of all that is happening. Because according to his supporters and his staff, Obama is the most ignorant President in the history of the country.
