Maryland’s New Show and Tell

If you need proof that same-sex “marriage” is about more than “love,” look no further than Montgomery County, Maryland. There, parents are dealing with the fallout of the state’s redefinition of marriage with a sweeping new sex education curriculum. Moms and dads, who were already fighting an uphill battle on the content of the lessons, are now coping with the news that homosexuality will be woven throughout — shattering families’ fragile hold on parents’ rights.

Yesterday, the Montgomery County School Board took up the issue in a debate over the district’s health curriculum. Not surprisingly, there were calls for an even greater emphasis on sexual orientation, as well as introducing the topic to students earlier than ever before. In the current curriculum, kids are asked to reflect on things like “the benefits of ‘coming out,’” and the harms of “homophobia… which can he shown in mild ways like laughing at a gay joke.” “Children are not born hating. They learn to hate and fear from messages they receive while growing up,” read one section. One of the proposed videos even includes a positive look at transgenderism. “Your sexual orientation cannot change,” the text insists. “If you were attracted to women, and all of the sudden, you’re attracted to a man, it’s because you just became aware of your true orientation.” If liberals get their way, the indoctrination could begin as earlier as this fall with middle schoolers. For the County, the fireworks over sex ed are nothing new. Since 2005, parents have been in a tug-of-war over the content of the lessons, even going so far as to sue the state over the suggestion that homosexuality is innate.

Obviously said by a poofter who never tried to feed a small child spinach.

So let me get this straight....

The act of "hating", a visceral unconscious emotion based on fear and disgust that seems to exist to a very large degree in every species on the earth is "not normal". Children aren't born with that natural emotion. Further, the only possible explanation of how one feels hate is they must have been coerced into it by some past influence by another "hater".

And on the other hand, performing the most unnatural acts of sodomy are completely normal and as pure as the wind driven snow. Further, they are completely exempt from being influenced at all by our surroundings or experiences.

That makes complete sense.

In a former life I lived there, it is extremely liberal. If you do not permit your children to be indoctrinated, then like the NFL you will be sent to the reeducation camp in the gulag. This is why they try so hard to eliminate home schooling. Pray for guidance.

I actively chose not to live in MD, opting for VA instead. Never for a moment regretted the decision.

The parents of MD who oppose this need to be reminded that they are just reaping what they sowed. This is a natural waypoint on the path they chose by both living in MD and making it a defacto one party state.

When you are dealing with people (the collectivist/egalitarian Left), whose driving motivation is an obsessive hatred of the realities of life, you can not expect reasoned behavior. The tragedy is that people of that type have been allowed to gain control of many school systems.

While parents should certainly not remain silent, while this is going on, i would strongly urge that most of the effort go into waking up those who are not already part of the agitation against traditional family values. The latter may in many instances be beyond hope; whereas, much of the public is simply in a bemused state--in a form of near hypnotic trance; having been befuddled by the cloud-borne projections of a pseudo-reality, with which the mainstream media presents contemporary life in America.

Then pull your kids out of the government schools. If it’s that important then you either care enough about your kids to do what it takes or you don’t.

I think it was in England that child psychologists said that it was abuse for Grandma to push herself into a child’s face and demand a kiss that the child does not want to give.

The inmates are running the asylum.

Actually, they learn it largely from the “messages” received from those very “hated” groups themselves. How those poor put-upon “victim” groups act, behave, speak, etc. molds any person’s view of them, if they see a pattern. And patterns DO happen.

No, kids do NOT have to be “carefully taught” as that fool sang in South Pacific.

One can learn all on one’s own about “groups”, without any prejudice from the parents.

BTW, this is also a way for the Thought Police to punish the parents, even if they have done nothing. The stupid assumption that children are innately innocent and do not learn anything OUTside the home on their own observation.
