It’s a hoax.
A hoax or just something that dumb people fall for, it’s been posted and laughed at enough here.
You are absolutely correct, sir.
Its a hoax.
2. What IS the explanatio for these huge stockpiles? Tempoarary storage before being shipped out, photoshop, something else?
Not sure what it is, but I have seen this twice in So Cal. one dirt lot had about 500 Lincoln Town cars that were covered with dirt, had flat tires, etc. Maybe the dealer bought at a discount and the cost of storage (away from the dealership) offset the purchase price, or maybe Lincoln paid it, but I saw them for months.
Yes, I’m certain that at any given time there are hundreds of thousands, if not in the low millions, of new cars and trucks sitting in shipping lots like these. I used to live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and we had an autoport there that served part of Canada. The whole of Canada is a market of about 30 million, remember. Anyway, they had vast lots there just to handle the traffic to and from Canada - cars being accumulated before being shipped out, and cars which had just been unloaded from ships.
