What happened to Natural Selection?
Mockingbirds used to be uncommon here in the Raleigh area. Now they’re everywhere. Cardinals have expanded their range North.
Should we plan on exterminating them in their ‘new’ range ?
Oh that’s right. The gov. can do this as they wish. Remember they approved Golden Eagles being killed in order to stop the wind power controversy.

In an administration that gives permits to kill eagles to save the endangered wind turbine, this makes perfect sense. Kind of like killing veterans to save budget money for bonuses.

I remember reading in the late 1990's that some owls in New York bars (aka Barred Owls) were migrating to the northwest to make it with some really "hot chicks" (aka Spotted Owls) that really "put out" for them!!!
This naturalist writing in the San Francisco Comicle correctly pointed out then that these agressive NY owls were soon going to breed the spotted owl out of existence in spite of the militant GovernMental EnvironMentalists snuffing our timber industry in a vain attempt to protect those loose spotted female owls!!!
This is a true story and as they say in those NY bars… "And you can lookit UP!!!"
