It’ll be Collins not Cornyn. The GOPe wants to “put a woman’s face” on the Party.

She gave a clear signal in Feb when she and Murkowsky forced Mitch and John to vote for the debt hike cloture.
She wouldn’t have done that without backing from the GOPe higher ups.
