MEGHAN MCCAIN: FATHER WOULD HAVE STILL LOST IN '08 EVEN IF HE RAN WITH JESUS CHRIST

On Ora.TV's "Politicking" on Wednesday, host Larry King asked Meghan McCain if her father, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), made a mistake in picking former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) for his running mate in the 2008 presidential elections against then-Sen Barack Obama (D-IL).

"No I don't believe so," she replied. "My father could have had Jesus Christ as his running mate and it wouldn't have mattered."

The question should have been reversed.

Sarah Palin might well have won if McCain had not been her running mate. Unfortunately, we will never know the answer to that.

The problem in 2008 was the same problem in 2012. Voter fraud.

Bill Clinton was right when he said Obama should have been carrying his bags, not running for President.

She is right on this one.

Even Jesus Christ could not have drug him across the finish line after he made the worst political gaffe in American history by telling scared, skeptical and unsure voters it was okay to vote for Obama when he said “America has nothing to fear in a President Obama”.

I knew at that instant that the race was OVER.

I think Jesus on the ticket would have done worse. As much as the opponent hates God (remember the boos).... Just saying.

I would submit Sarah Palin had enough leadership experience at several levels of government plus the Palin family business. She is a people person. Her administration as President, instead of any of the other 3 participants, would show she would pull in pro business leaders from various segments of the economy as advisors. In contrast, Obama brought in his fellow radical travelers from the academic world and Chicago thugs; socialists who had never held real jobs. The possible exception was a wall street big banker or two. The result for Obama is lots of regulations that strangle businesses. McCain and Biden as presidents would rely friends and aides in the Senate and the usual suspects of do-nothings as advisors. Palin was the outsider who was the only one of the 4 who had the potential to create a recovery. A President really sets the policy and advisors carry it out. Obama doesn’t know how to lead, so he golfs and campaigns. Sarah would be in the office constantly seeing to the nation’s business. She spent the time in Alaska studying the oil industry and came up with deals that benefited the citizenry. That is accomplishment.

I would yell at her for saying ‘Jesus’ since she doesn’t believe, but then I’d be a hypocrite. But the point stands.

Same here, I had decided years earlier that I would never vote for McCain, but Palin changed that.

She’s right. If not for Sarah he would have gotten no votes at all.

“Fight with me my friends” ..... Worst candidate ever!
