What is his point?
Nobody knows what the exact tax per gallon is - it is not like it is printed on the pump.
All I know is that the Federales make more a gallon of gas than the gas companies do. and that is fairly unusual knowledge is the age of Low Information Voters.
The context is missing from the posting.
From another source earlier in the week, Coakley, as State AG, had to review and sign off on what I believe is a referendum on repealing some portion of the MA gas tax in the next state-wide election.
She probably came out against it in an interview shortly after signing it, and was asked specifics about the referendum question that she allegedly reviewed, and couldn't give any answer that indicated that she did indeed read what she had signed.
She also had and has aspirations to the US Senate, albeit as junior to Fauxcahontas this time.
