( Muslim ) Texas man indicted for 2012 murder of Iranian activist

Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan, 56, was indicted for the 2012 murder of Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a medical student and outspoken Iranian activist, whom he allegedly blamed for influencing his daughter to marry a man without his permission.

A Texas man was indicted for the killing of a medical student and outspoken Iranian activist whom he allegedly blamed for influencing his daughter to marry without his permission.

Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan, 56, was being held in federal custody after a grand jury indicted him Thursday for shooting Gelareh Bagherzadeh, 30, outside her parents’ Galleria townhouse in January 2012

...

Irsan was allegedly angry that his Jordanian-American daughter married 28-year-old Coty Beavers without his approval.

...

And 11 months after Bagherzadeh — a molecular genetic technology student at the University of Texas — was killed, Coty Beavers was shot and killed inside the Harris County apartment that he shared with his wife.

No arrests had been made in that killing, but relatives say they suspect the two deaths were connected.

“My brother told lots of people that if he was ever murdered, it’s Ali Irsan,” the brother said. “He was pretty worried about it.”

The couple had even filed an order of protection against Irsan, who shot and killed another son-in-law in Houston nearly 15 years ago.

To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start
killing each other for a variety of reasons...

It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father;
my family against my cousins and the clan;

Sharia law would have prevented this.

Here’s what I don’t get about the victims. They knew someone might be coming after them, but chose not to arm themselves. Anti-gun lies (about how guns are more likely to be used against their owners than in self-defense) might have cost them their lives.

Must have been pure self-defense or defense of another the first time, because even a manslaughter conviction should have got the bastard deported, right? /sarc

influencing his daughter to marry without his permission.

In other words inciting a slave to revolt.

Don’t laugh, have you seen how many mosques have been built and are being built in Houston, alone?

It is being done with Saudi money because, based on the number of Muslims in Houston, the large number of mosques can only be justified if foreign money is involved.

For the list?

“Funny” how this story is only getting scant national attention.

I guess some murdered college student stories are “bigger” than others.
