Rusted-out brake/fuel lines next shoe to drop?

Here's a pic of my(less than 50,000 mile)GMC after loss of brake fluid caused my two-tones to hit the floor.

(2 brake lines from MC to module/clamped to(prematurely)rusted-out main frame, causing rusted-out brake line/fluid leak)

Just recently the NLPC has written letters to GM to recall Chevy and GM pickups over brake lines that are rusting out, there been several articles and as yet I don't believe they've had a reply.

That seems especially bad , it’s an area that will trap dirt and collect moisture ,, rust is guaranteed there , especially in areas with road salt.

I had previously bought a mid-90’s GM from Michigan when it was about 10 years old,,, the rear brake line rusted and popped on it too.. I cut a non rusted section of brake line a foot forward of the break and used a LARGE pair of vice grips to roll/fold/crimp up the line to get it home...
