Irish voters on Friday (23 May) gave a strong signal to the government that they have tired of austerity, reaching out to alternative parties in the local elections and set to do the same for the EU vote.

It’s actually socialism versus socialism, here. Part of the terms of the bailout “loans” was impetus to raise taxes.
These people want to party as long as someone is willing to foot the bill.
Well I hate this. Hubby may have to go to Ireland for work. I’m reading nothing good about the place.
Reminds me why my maternal grandparents were smart enough to get out of Ireland. While some of the mainland European voters finally are waking up, the Irish are heading backwards again.
