They are having a run-off elections in June, I think that's the real reason.

You just know that la Douche’ forced all the troops to shed their weapons before he let them get anywhere near him.

I wonder if he ever learned that Memorial Day is to honor those that gave their life and Veteran’s Day is to honor those still alive for their service? He didn’t know that a few years ago as I recall.

One of two reasons for this trip:

Avoids having to visit the Tomb of the Unknowns on Memorial Day or they have a good golf course in Kabul.

As with most presidential foreign visits its about something that is not mentioned rather than what is publicized. Nothing new here. For all we know they could be discussing the lack of knuckle ball pitchers in the National league or the plight of the Malaysian airliner. Troops, maybe?

Yea, I’m sure the troops really got excited, NOT. How original. I seem to recall another president making a surprise visit to the troops one Thanksgiving years back. Who was that? Hmmm..... can’t quite remember.

Obama, what a dick.

Yes, definite credit to goodnesswins for posting the info first — in fact so quickly, that there was no link to an article.

CHECK.

or they have a good golf course in Kabul.

Well... I don't know if I would call it a GOOD golf course, but the only one in Afghanistan is in KABUL.

(You missed number three)

Avoiding the VA scandal.

Actually, I think it is a good thing. Maybe five years over due, but at least he is there. Those guy and gals deserve his recognition and more.
For the first time since January 20, 2009, I can say; Thank you Mr President.
