This happens all over the country. The common argument is that the community would be *stupid* to not accept all the *free money*.

Water treatment, swimming pools, bike paths, etc. They simply get themselves appointed or elected and then push through these projects that the community cannot afford to maintain and which never add a thing to anyone’s lifestyle without a huge tax raise to cover all the incidentals they never bothered to mention prior. All to give the FedGov leverage all over America.

There is no longer any place left to escape this. It is concerted. The inculcated move to an area and take it over and change it for the worse. Happened in my little corner of the world, too. It used to be Mayberry. It is now almost indistinguishable from any university town. The loons aren’t moving, either. They are now bringing their parents for retirement. The only positive note is their children are not moving back.....yet.

I don't get it with the 30 mile bike paths to nowhere. It is nuts. It is especially nuts when there already nice parks in the community..
