A statewide effort is underway to forge new, comprehensive policies and strategies to promote energy development.

The initiative, which the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department launched last fall, aims to shore up the state’s energy-related industries as a force for job creation and long-term economic development.

That includes virtually every energy sector from oil and gas to biofuels, renewable electric generation and even nuclear power, said Daniel Fine, associate director of the Center for Energy Policy at the New Mexico Institute for Mining and Technology in Socorro.

New Mexico Tech is assisting in the initiative, which includes statewide “listening sessions” to collect public input.

“Underlying the whole effort is that today’s energy policy should emphasize economic development and jobs in New Mexico,” he said. “You hear everywhere that New Mexico is rich in natural resources, but it’s still such a poor state. We want to build policies that help resolve that contradiction.”

These three steps should solve about 1/2 of the chronic problems in the Democrat hell-hole of the State of New Mexico:

* Put Ex Governor Richardson in jail for his criminal activites in the Oil and Gas Business while Governor.

* Repeal all Regulations on the Oil and Gas Industry that went into effect from 2 years before Richardson became Governor through tomorrow.

* Forcibly expel, photograph and banish all Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico that have invaded the USA from 1986 through tomorrow.

Second!

Now if Obama and his economic wrecking crew can be stopped from interfering with states rights in NM they will be on their way to the American dream of prosperity.

The enviro-nazis in Santa Fe and all the state’s Congressional delegation except Steve Pearce (R-NM-2) are against all forms of fossil energy and every other form of energy except bird slice and dice windmills and bird-frying solar power. NM is rich in both energy and primary metals but getting them out of the ground is difficult these days with all the bureaucratic regulations whose purpose is mainly to prevent or stop extraction.

Go nuclear. Least amount of resources used for the greatest output of reliable and low-cost electricity.

Ironically, they’re using the language of statists and central planners. How about a free market in energy in NM?

Free market? Honestly I have become quite pessimistic that even Republicans in NM know what that means. Martinez has been a disappointment IMO. Yeah I am relatively new to NM, arriving earlier in the year in which she was elected, but I think still going in the wrong direction and still losing jobs after four years qualifies her as a failure. As I have told her, we will re-elect her in order to keep another hard core leftist out, but at this point she is nothing more than the lesser of two evils.

” - - - NM is rich in both energy and primary metals but getting them out of the ground is difficult these days with all the bureaucratic regulations whose purpose is mainly to prevent or stop extraction. - - - “

New Mexico and Colorado are two Democrat-infected States that owe much of their prosperity to the early mining activities of the workers that belonged to Socialist-infected Labor Unions.

Thus, the miners chose to join Socialist-infected Labor Unions, which then infected the Democrat Party in New Mexico and Colorado.

Both States have single large cities where the descendants of the miners have migrated after the Democrat Politicians have shut down the mines, and production of Oil and Gas.

These two large cities, (Albuquerque, and Denver), commonly out-vote the rest of their respective States’ more Rural voters.

In a larger sense, the love-hate ambivalence that New Mexico and Colorado Voters have towards loving good jobs, and hating the industries that provide these jobs, is a microcosm of the polarization that America has had for decades on the topics of Capitalism, and individual Liberty.

As New Mexico and Colorado goes, so goes America - - - - .

It is time, - - - time for a change in 2014.

In New Mexico, the most infected unions are the teachers and the government employee unions.
