Prayers up. Man, unbelievable.
Prayers for the people in the area. That would be fascinating to see.
Wow, sounds like it’s an enormous one. Was it along the main hwy that runs through town? I’ve driven through there a couple of times. It’s beautiful. I always liked it. Prayers up for anyone caught in that thing!
A repeating pattern. Oso, WA. Jackson Hole, WY, Afghanistan, now Grand Junction, CO. All mountainous areas.
Clif High noted the pattern in his web bot data last week on 5/18. He suggested “slinkholes” as a name for the long, deep spreading chasms.
Ya think? But we're in the middle of a drought. More GoreBull warming or maybe it's just that the only permanent thing about the climate and weather is that it is constantly changing.
Can we get a pic or a map pls? I know this area well and a mud slide just doesn’t sound right.
Oh no. That’s near my old stomping grounds. Prayers for all.
Gee, I wonder why? <sarc off
No drought.
Massive snow pack has not melted yet
The slide is along Salt Creek Road, also known as 601/2 Road, near Vega State Park, east of Collbran, which is about 40 miles east of Grand Junction.
