The woman, a petite blonde dressed in a black pantsuit and purple blouse, appeared nervous when addressing the jurors, speaking quietly and quickly, often clenching her hands in her lap.The woman then walked the jurors through graphic details of the assault, when she says multiple men raped her repeatedly. After the incident, the woman told police she guessed there were 5 to 8 men, but she could not recall how many exactly assaulted her.
"It all happened so fast," she recalled.

Death penalty and public hanging is the way to go. Instead, they’ll get maybe a decade in jail and be back at it after.
A ball point pen, properly aimed into the eye, will reach the brain if driven home with sufficient force to hurt your hand. The key is aim and don’t hold back ... put that pen where the brain can get the message. A book slammed edgewise into the front of the throat will stop the wind of all but the largest vermin. A set of keys ... well, you get the picture. Do something, don’t play the part the attacker has planned for you. If you allow the attacker to control you, you are dead anyway.

New Orleans is a chocolate city (60.2% Black or African American according to the Census Bureau) and it wouldn't have mattered who she voted for if she bothered to vote at all.
I worked in a hospital in the ghetto when I was young and immortal. It turned me waaaaaaay to the right in a very short time. There isn't enough tea in China to make me work in a place like that, ever again.
The woman, I read, was a visiting nurse, so she was trying to do good. I think the only way that things *might* ever turn around is if people with necessary skills refused to put themselves in danger and refused to work in crime-ridden neighborhoods without armed guards.
A lot of people will hold back.
When I tried to teach my wife how to throw a punch, she kept repeatedly throwing the worst possible punch even when I’ve seen her use strength and hit hard when scared. Getting her to let loose at will was just about impossible.
Some folks just have too much conditioning to hold back and it’s hard to break through.
I just want to point out to everyone that the woman was 55 years old, not a kid. Horrible!

I took a look at the map. She had no business in that part of town alone and unarmed. She had no business being there heavily armed...
That is one of the hoods in NOLA you just stay out of...
Rapists should be hanged, and that right swiftly.
