Tea party poised for big wins in Texas GOP runoffs
SF Gate/AP ^ | 5/26/14 | PAUL J. WEBER

A tea party leader is favored to become Texas' lieutenant governor. A Ted Cruz-endorsed newcomer is inching closer to replacing Democrat Wendy Davis in the statehouse. On television, millions of dollars in attack ads have given established Republican incumbents all they can handle. For all the talk of Texas growing competitive for Democrats in 2016 and beyond, GOP voters are poised to make a harder turn right on Tuesday. Though the tea party has sputtered this year in elections around the country, Texas' conservative insurgents are the front-runners in Republican primary runoffs for major statewide offices and positioned to bolster their ranks in the Legislature. Victories now and again in November would signal an aggressive new slate of Republican priorities — from tightened spending to expanded gun rights — after Gov. Rick Perry leaves office in January.

Nice to hear something good every once in a while. Of course, some federal judge could just step in and declare all the elections invalid and put Wendy Davis in office as Queen of Texas, and who could stop it?

Wendy Davis is burnt toast.

She’s run a vanity campaign with never a hope of victory.

Hope they got some good pictures and such.

A federal judge could not intervene in such a way. Never happen, but hey, say it did.

Texans would flood the state house and gov. mansion and force the removal. This ain’t Jersey or California.

The Democraps put up Abortion Barbie as a sacrificial candidate as they knew that they had no one that could win against Greg Abbott for TX Gov. The one to watch is Julian Castro, Mayor of San Antonio. The Democraps are going to try to make him the next Obama. He is good looking, articulate and is so far to the left, Hillary looks like a conservative in comparison. He is the next messiah for the Democraps.

Good looking and of an approved ethnic category. DemoCrap voters certainly use sound logic and reasoning when casting their votes. The live ones anyway. The others just do as they are told to do.

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!! Like a federal judge could never overthrow the explicit provisions of a state's constitution in the name of a so-called right that was made up by a bunch of psychos just a few years back. Couldn't happen. Ever.

Democrats have spent much of the primary trying to dissuade their voters from picking Kesha Rogers, who’s called for impeaching President Barack Obama and still forced a runoff against Dallas dental mogul David Alameel.

The local house race has a presumed RINO being slimed by a chubby little jerk who is running the most shamelessly sleazy political campaign I have ever seen. I plan to vote for the RINO just to end this pr!@&’s political career and never hear from him again.

In my county there’s 2 Tea Parties fighting over who’s the real Tea Party. What happened was the guys that didn’t get endorced by the tea party formed their own Tea Party. I moved to Texas over a decade ago and this is the nastiest campaign I’ve seen yet. It’s Tea Party candidate fighting the Rinos like DoWorst.

When is the last time the federal government intervened in a states gubernatorial election? Can't recall.

By the way..why would they? Please explain your reasoning, cause at this point it just kinda sounds like your just playing devils advocate...just because.

These folks were waving signs in front of our HEB, last week. I honked at them, and pointed at the Impeach 0 sign.
