WASHINGTON (AP) -- First lady BIG MOMA Obama is answering Republicans in Congress who want to roll back healthier school meal standards, holding an event at the White House to highlight the success of the health guidelines.
The Tuesday event is an unusual move for the first lady, who has largely stayed away from policy fights since she lobbied for congressional passage of a child nutrition law in 2010.

They don't want to roll back healthier meal standards. They want to roll back Michelle Obama's meal standards. There's a difference.
These poor kids are going hungry at school. They tell the kids to have a healthy meal to “feed the brain” so they can concentrate, how well do you think they can concentrate when they are fighting hunger?! My son, 14 years old, comes home hungry every day because the meals at school are TINY. He has headaches and being hungry doesn’t help his headaches either.
Montessori said children need more sugar and fat than adults. Sugar because they use more energy and have a higher metabolism, and fat because their brain cells are still growing and developing.
Clintons vs obamas. That’s truly a choice between two evils.
Why haven’t the school districts and the states challenged these lunches? Seems to me the federal department of education has overstepped its bounds. Come to think of it, why is there a federal department in the first place? Shouldn’t education be the province of the states?

So the final solution will be to leave the standards in place, but toe ‘tweak’ them so that the old standards are in force?

It is because the Federal Government has taken over a large part of the funding of public education and has taken over the standards for education. It is also because the National Extortion Association, converts dues money from the smartest people in the world, the teachers, into campaign funds for communist inspired politicians to run our lives.

Yep....Michelle is looking---and sounding--- more and more like a candidate everyday. Recent news clips of the I/P making the HS grad speech (where she ordered kids to squeal on their families) shows she's been coached well. The way she used one hand to subtly gesticulate while making her points, was the tipoff.
Let's go back to her last trip on the taxpayers' dime.
That would be the I/P's pricey China trip.... "sold" to Americans as a "non-political" visit...she was just there to chat up education. But all of her appearances and inane remarks were connivingly structured for one purpose: to set herself up as a future candidate....and doing it on our dime.
MISSION CREEP Then the WH let loose with the final explanation....that her trip, and the tripe she was pedaling, was "soft diplomacy" ---- to "ease tensions" between the US and China (which have further deteriorated).
Come again? Who elected this self-serving creep? Who gave her diplomat credentials? She was there to "ease tensions" between the US and China---but flopped bigtime as Us/China relations have deteriorated even further. \
I just hope Valerie Jarett doesn't get carpel tunnel syndrome wire-transferring federal funds offshore for Michele's campaign expenses.
And I just can't wait til candidate Michele announces that she's s-o-o-o-o popular, she raised $50 million dollars in 2 hours. ROTFLOL.
