The Missing Media Label For Obama's Presidency
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 05/23/2014 | IBD Staff

President Obama repeatedly claims to know nothing about scandals, blames others for problems and has failed to achieve most of his stated goals. If he were a Republican, what do you think the press would call him?

When a reporter asked in a two-part question whether Obama had been "caught by surprise" by the mushrooming scandal at the VA, Obama ignored it.

It was a good question. [snip] Yet neither the reporter nor anyone else in the room insisted that Obama answer it.

Now try to imagine how the mainstream press would have responded if Obama were a Republican. They'd almost certainly describe him as disengaged, maybe even incompetent. Or worse, an inveterate liar.

Democrats Privately Calling Obama 'Detached,' 'Flat Footed,' 'Incompetent'
Weekly Standard / Daniel Halpern / FR Posted by Sub-Driver

CNN's John King reports that Democrats are privately calling President Obama "detached," "flat footed," and "incompetent."

"Forget for a moment that Republican outrage," said King on his CNN show, "More and more Democrats in key 2014 races are calling for the president to get a spine, they say, and fire his VA secretary.

And more and more Democrats are even more scathing in private...saying that the president (and his team) are detached, flat footed.....even incompetent.

King said "what strikes me, is what democrats are saying privately in the wake of the healthcare.gov problems: they see a president who doesn't want to take command, doesn't want to act fast. Raising the competence question, some Democrats, who believe in activist government, [are saying] this White House doesn't appear to have its hand on the lever."

Maggie Haberman of Politico agreed, cited more examples of Obama incompetence, and added: "All of this adds up to somebody who just doesn't seem at all involved."

He’s not a failure at all. He’s doing precisely what he and his handlers have set out to do....pay America back for defeating their hero-nation the USSR in the Cold War.

Part of “affirmative action” is you not only hire incompetents you hold them to a lower standard of performing.

Obama is the political equivalent of those black debate teams who get first prize for standing up and shouting “slavery” instead of debating.

The media gave Clinton a pass for over a year on answering any questions.

The media isn’t going to go after their own family (figuratively speaking ideologically and often literally speaking genetically).

Fundamentally, the media IS the Democrat party.

Lately, America is like a ship that had been sent into dangerous waters by an inexperienced captain.

And rather than try to steer us safely out of trouble, he has been partying and entertaining as if nothing's wrong.

But because the nation was built by smart men and has the best crew, it is still sailing. It might be listing and drifting a bit, but it is still strong. We will weather this storm.

He’s a “captain” that seeks to destroy the ship because he was taught that it was built unfairly.

While he’s steering it to destruction, though, he’s going to take as much advantage of the ship’s amenities as he can.
