When I lived in Britain in the mid-80’s, people there would ask me what the biggest difference was. My answer always was ‘in America, when someone becomes prosperous, people will look at them and say “if he can do it, I can do it”. In Britain, when someone is prosperous, people look at him and say “ why does he have all that, he doesn’t deserve it”.’ The Leftists has been very successful in creating the Socialist mindset in America. Can we rebound? Only time will tell.
