You are so right that we must pray that God Himself will change Barakus in his lifetime, or stop his works, because our patriotism and otherwise cooperative manners are certainly not, singularly, changing anything.
“Wordy war”, Sacred Scripture calls it, in many translations.
Those words certainly seem to describe the condition of engagement in every man everywhere, today I know it is far better that we stir one another up, first, in our Lord God Almighty, before we solely or mostly fall into seeking after an earthly king saviour, who without God will never bring us to safe harbor, or before we concern ourselves too exclusively with matters of State, to the exclusion of a mighty prayer life girded with trust in God to defend us and straighten our path.
