WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of children unaccompanied by parents or relatives are flooding across the southern U.S. border illegally, forcing the Obama administration and Congress to grapple with both a humanitarian crisis and a budget dilemma.
An estimated 60,000 such children will pour into the United States this year, according to the administration, up from about 6,000 in 2011. Now, Washington is trying to figure out how to pay for their food, housing and transportation once they are taken into custody.
The flow is expected to grow. The number of unaccompanied, undocumented immigrants who are under 18 will likely double in 2015 to nearly 130,000 and cost U.S. taxpayers $2 billion, up from $868 million this year, according to administration estimates.
The shortage of housing for these children, some as young as 3, has already become so acute that an emergency shelter at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, has been opened and can accommodate 1,000 of them, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in an interview with Reuters.

IF we had an American president, he would demand the release of the USMC sergeant held in TJ or else all these kids will be sent back.
Then send them back anyway.
And close the border.
And deport all the illegals in our prisons that we get to pay for with our taxes.
Maybe that would get their attention.

It’s time for Barry to turn some of his drones loose on Mexico until they get their stinking act together. Whose running that sewer down there anyway? They need to learn to control their population.

And they all get free education, medical care, welfare, and in-state tuition.
What a great country!
Send them home. It is the duty of their parents to restrain their own government. And, along with them, send all of the illegal immigrant criminals in our prisons back to their home countries along with a bill for: medical care, legal services, incarceration (food and housing), etc. Until the bill for these services is repaid, stop all foreign aid and trade with those foreign nations. If we just do this, they will monitor the border, and we won’t have to.
One more time...my hearing aid is broken.
It appears that Mexicans & Central Americans, by the tens of thousands, are throwing their children over the border. Hoping they’ll become Obama/Boehner/Cantor “dreamers” with status and thus become, in effect, anchor kids for the greater family.
Of course, this will later be followed by millions more pouring in, further impoverishing our country.

Yes. I’m sure Obama and the democrats are really concerned about millions of democrat voters, illegal or otherwise.
Will it ever end? We WILL be a third world country and I feel bad for my grandson and any future grandchildren. He will be a minority in a country built by his ancestors and forced to live with the races that have torn it apart.
