Montel Williams went on Cavuto yesterday and spoke very passionately about how we are treating our veterans. He was very upset that Obama didnt use his speech at West Point to apologize to veterans and make the case that they were going to fix it once and for all. I got the feeling he wants to see the passion he feels about the reflected in how Obama responds to this issue.
Williams also pointed out that people arent even visiting our wounded vets anymore in the hospitals like they used to. He said he used to see celebrities visiting all the time when he would visit and Hollywood would always thank our vets when they did award shows and such. But none of that happens anymore.
I must say that I dont know much about Montel Williams other than hes had a TV show, but I love his passion for our vets and have a new respect for him because of it.

I wonder who he voted for? I wish someone would ask him that on an interview. (I’ll bet I know who.)
Montel thought Obama would make a speech that wasn’t about himself, his needs, his demands, his ego?
Wake up, Monty. You are starting to see the light.
People that mad at BO are showing their disappointment
Others knew all along and watch it like they would a train with no brakes
This guy's an idiot if he thinks there's a chance in hell of that happening. Ever.
It's all Bush's fault and Obama's trying as hard as he can to fix it - but those damn Republicans won't cooperate.
Montel is a 20-year Navy veteran.
I saw him on Cavuto yesterday and he is really passionate about this. It is great he is speaking out so vehemently!
Good for him and God Bless!
why should Obama be doing anything? is he king? is he going to give “Obama dollars” to fix it with free healthcare?
where is the senate? where is reid?
He was in Naval Intelligence as a Russian linguist who rode Fast Attacks during the Cold War. Not sure what he was doing because we were just doing “Oceanographic Research”, but he apparently served with distinction.
Still he served his country, I do thank for his service and if you have served as well I thank you also.
Mr. Williams hit it right on the nail.
Thanks for the info. I had no idea.
I know. I thought McCain was nervy this morning yelling about this. It’s his City- Phoenix. It’s the Capitol even
but the Va is a Cabinet department
Just found this: http://m.military.com/veteran-jobs/career-advice/military-transition/famous-veteran-montel-williams.html
A great speech and a well founded ideal.
However, in the harsh reality of politics veterans, as a class, can offer the politician nothing that he, the politician. lusts after.
Veterans can not pool their votes on any level. veterans can not pool their money either. Nor can they provide manpower.
All three items, money, manpower, votes, are necessary for a politicians continued well being (re-election).
Until the above conditions change, no politician, as a class, will pay any attention to the plights of Vets. The exception will be to use them (the vets0 as background for photo opportunities and reelection fodder.
Regardless of any liberal leanings Montel Williams has (or had), he’s on the right side here. His passion for his brothers in arms was inspiring .... he was so mad he physically couldn’t sit still and had to compose himself several times. He’s going to get ‘traction’ on this where a lot of people would not. I did not understand his remedy for the problem, but as for everything else he said, I agree and thank him for his service - as a naval officer and now, when he is determined to leave no one behind. My disgust for Obama cannot be adequately described in words and for him, as Commander in Chief, with the lives of the military (past and present) in his hands, to be acting or not acting the way he is conducting himself is unconscionable. Then again, when has Obama ever been shown to have much of a conscience regarding anyone but himself.
Thanks for posting this- I saw it yesterday, and came away with a new and great respect for Montel.
I love Montel’s new full-body cleanse infomercial.
