...urge people to vote Romney, but so many, including freepers, brought this on...

If Romney is the best the GOP can offer, I assure you that our Republic is already dead.

Actually, the Rat Romney brought this on by attacking
CONSERVATIVES (eg. Palin and the Speaker and Sen Thompson)
and defending Obama.

Romney is the REASON Obama won in 2008 and 2012.

Americans have been cursed by Romney who has
given America gay marriage, RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE
and the undocumented Tyrant.

I do not believe there will be an awful lot of commanders of our armed forces that will follow such immoral and un-lawful orders from civil authority...

What will happen is those commanders will be relieved and their deputies or other officers will be appointed in those positions to carry out those orders...

Now, what the troops down the chain of command will do, that may be anyone’s guess, but I would venture that most will not follow either...

The numbers will be decreased, but sufficient when deployed to trouble spots that are easy to quell, that other regions will fall into line defacto...

This will become the line of demarcation...Those areas “they” control will remain with the Union...Those they cannot will probably separate their association...

Everyone loses at this point...

Just my take...

You're right .. we need more GOPers like:
... Nixon who gave us the EPA
... Bush 1 who lied and raised taxes
... or Bush 2, whose wars are still being fought
... or maybe - the most holy Ronald Reagan who raised taxes AND gave millions of illegals amnesty.
But I'd still vote for ANY Republican over any pinko-commie, America hating Dem.

Well, there you go. The obvious defense is to make sure we all have a spare flag of, oh, say Egypt, Syria, Soddyland, Iraq. Turkey or take your pick of any 12th century Muzzie enclave. Just wave the appropriate flag from your window when the brownshirts parade thru-——and keep your rifle out of sight until you get a clear shot.

And I’m guessing there will be a couple divisions of all-Mexican wetback units, non-english-speaking, in the style of the old USSR who used units from another language speaking neighborhood when they needed to crack heads.

“U.S. official said the Obama administration considered but rejected deploying military force under the directive during the recent standoff with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and his armed supporters.”

Probably the only reason it was rejected was political timing.

“The question now is, “When will he/they implement this attack on the citizenry ?”

Obama said he would use the military for climate change at West Point. Maybe he will use climate change as the excuse.

“I’m surprised that the memo didn’t specify that force was only to be used against the Tea Party, western ranchers, and unauthorized groupings of white people.”

This is at the discretion of the POTUS. This means it will be directed against teaparty implicitly but not explicitly.

Not necessary. That was already a given when patriots et al were formally labeled terrorists by the Pentagon, at the behest of the America haters in DC.

They have drawn the lines and made it quite clear who is on each side.

Some of your neighbors are or will be the new American Vichy. Collaborators. Whatever it takes to keep the free stuff coming to them. You are worth less than an EBT card.

“Federal military forces shall not be used to quell civil disturbances unless specifically authorized by the president in accordance with applicable law or permitted under emergency authority,” the directive states.

This takes me back to discussions of Title X, Sections 331-333 when Clinton was President:

331. Whenever there is an insurrections in any State against its government, the President may, upon the request of its legislature or of its governor if the legislature cannot be convened, call into Federal service such of the militia of the other States, in the number requested by that State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to suppress the insurrection.

332. Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

333. The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it—

  1. so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or
  2. opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

There you have it, conditions so vague that any President, and especially Zero, can drive a bus through it. You can thank Abe Lincoln for this, as it's been around that long.
