an interesting thing to note is the growth in average productivity per well.
I would expect that to be greatly influenced by more horizontal wells. As more wells have horizontal laterals, the average well has more borehole length in the producing zone.
However, at the same time, the decline rate from older wells is increasing in those same fields as well. This is shown in the legacy production charts from the same source.
