WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. -

A Wisconsin Dells business is preparing for a ruling that might overturn Wisconsin’s ban on same-sex marriage.

Eight gay couples are challenging Wisconsin’s ban on same-sex marriages. A federal judge reviewing the case could make a ruling any day now. And according to the most recent poll conducted by the Marquette Law School, 55 percent of Wisconsin voters favor allowing same-sex marriage.

Same-sex marriage is now legal in 19 states plus the District of Columbia.

Seven additional states have had their bans ruled unconstitutional, but are appealing the rulings.

Sure. According to conventional leftist thought, if you ‘love’ eachother, why not?

Who appointed the federal judge? That’s all anyone needs to know to predict the outcome. Actually, a Bush appointee isn’t really a sure thing, but a Clinton or Obama appointee is.

Maybe I’m just not thinking clearly. But, if 55% of Wisconsin is in favor of homosexual marriage, then why not change the law? Why force it through the courts and antagonize so many people by going that route?

‘55 percent of Wisconsin voters favor allowing same-sex marriage.’

Than why not get it on the ballot and have a vote on it. Not fascist enough for them?

Is there an actual ban or the state just not recognize them?

Courts have no power to impose laws, the states should fight these rulings

“Than why not get it on the ballot and have a vote on it.”

How could anyone disagree with that logic? After all, Wisconsin is a democratic state is it not? Don’t the people have the right to vote on such matters? And, if there’s a clear majority in favor of homosexual “marriage”, then why would any supporter fear a vote? A vote would simply affirm what they already claim.

No. It’s far easier to just use judges to write law.

No, we are not a democracy and the gays should not have the power to vote themselves special rights.

Wisconsin passed a marriage amendment by 59% in 2006.

This is how it will probably play out:

One Federal appeals court is going to reverse one of these rogue judge’s decisions and then it will be a matter of which state case to appeal to the Supreme Court. The sodomites will push for the most weakly defended case, by an ambivalent governor or AG, and the case will be lost by lack of a vigorous defense.

It’s how they did it in Oregon, PA and CA.

Arkansas State Supreme Court suspended a Federal Judge’s ruling in their state forcing same sex marriage. Let’s hope these kinds of things happen as well.
