Imagine the press letting a Republican or conservative try to get away with trying to avoid uncondtionally calling something as infuriating and outrageous as the Veterans Administration waiting list scandal a real scandal.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did that on Monday (HT Patterico and Real Clear Politics) in an interview with Vox's Ezra Klein, who naturally let it slide right on by:

Gee Nancy fudging the waiting list numbers to get a bonus isn't fraud? What about those veterans who died from not getting treatment as a result of this fraud...aren't VA officials guilty of criminal negligence in those deaths?

Very interesting question. With all my Husbands VA stuff I do remember him getting a very long (multiple pages) questionnaire to fill out. The part that sent me over the top was about our “GUNS” they wanted to know if he owned any, if so list each one. I told him to write NA on all that garbage.
