It’s been nearly 20 years since my father died in a VA Hospital after an extended period. He received excellent care...because my mother was there every single day it seemed. She talked with and got to know every one of the caregivers. The caregivers (doctors and nurses and others) responded positively to her presence and her attention to Dad’s wellbeing.
But not every VA patient has someone keeping as close a watch on them as did my dad. This is where the current VA Administration has given up trying to care and is falling damnably short of fulfilling it’s mission and reason for existance. R2z
