.... the occasional massacre is okay with us."

You should have pointed out that the quote is NOT from Charles Cooke but rather from leftist Tim Kreider.
who thinks it’s okay?
the reason why almost all ofthese are masacres are because they’re targted by the nutjobs b/c the nutjobs know they’re gun-free zones, and we know who brought us the “disrarming you makes you safer” b-s idea that in the real world has NEVER worked.
if it worked the idiots who do massacre wouldn’t almost exclusively pick such areas, they know people are sitting ducks in the places.
If Tim Kreider wants massacres, just wait until the government has a monopoly on lethal force. With any luck, his body will be one of the first on the pile.
Well, I’m not willing to trade my civil rights in order to make myself a sitting duck.
Doesn’t seem like a smart trade.
I think I’ll keep my ability to protect myself, especially considering how this country is full to the brim of lunatics and is also run by lunatics.
And the point he was making was disingenuious because you could say the same thing about cars or swimming pools.
No, the occasional massacre is NOT okay with us.
Most people do recognize these massacres as being created by Democrats, carried out by Democrats, reported by Democrats, followed immediately with Democrat demands that all the people not guilty of their most recent massacre turn in their guns.
Virtually all the mass shooters of the past two decades have been drugged up with phychotropic drugs (making them highly susceptible to suggestion); they've been counseled by "professional" Democrats to no good purpose; wound up like catapults, and launched against innocent citizens -- all for evil political purposes.
Americans see what the Democrats are, and what they are doing, whether or not it can be proven. Democrats are genocidal maniacs. They are the culture of death. They are not going to stop killing. They are not going to stop lying.
Reasonable people don't dis-arm when facing such evil. They prepare to fight.
Most of us don’t live in ‘gun-free’ zones—the leftoids do.
Mass murders are EXCLUSIVELY committed by leftoid nutcases we shun.
It’s really NOT OUR PROBLEM. Go ahead—try robbing my gunstore.
The quote of course did not reflect the point of the article.
However, we do “accept” the occasional massacre as the price of a free society. We accept a LOT of death that could theoretically be stopped, because we are not willing to pay the price of action.
It is necessary to be forcefully truthful about this, because the fake outrage undermines our ability to protect our freedom.
The simplest is to note that more people are killed driving. If someone tells you they are outraged at the deaths, you need to ask them if they have petitioned their congressman to reduce all speed limits to 30 mph or less (the reasonable speed at which air bags are likely to prevent death). They will of course say no, and then you can point out that they are obviously quite OK with thousands of people dying each year, JUST SO THEY CAN GET WHERE THEY ARE GOING QUICKER.
Then you can say that if getting to McDonalds 5 minutes faster is worth killing thousands of people, then certainly being able to defend yourself from physical assault is worth a few deaths.
I carry every where I go, Church, walking the dog in my "safe neighborhood", to the mall, but the safest place I enter is "Ace Sporting" a gun store where all employees and 85% of the customers are carrying.
A screwed up nit wit, even like the rogers killer, would never even consider his shooting spree at ACE, because he'd never get past his first shot, PERIOD.
Gun control is not about keeping guns out of the hands of criminals. It is about restricting access to firearms by the law abiding.
Kreider is just upset that liberals can’t always have their way.
That was an excellent post! A+
Excellent imagery!
Which the liberal/Democrat media feeds to them.
