The Financial Times tweeted just 6 minutes ago that talks to avoid a Monday cutoff broke off today without an agreement, nut a new round of talks have been set for next week.

Hmmm. Wasn’t Russia’s seizure of Crimea payment enough?
Gas payment = “Pull grandpa’s finger...”
There really does need to be compensation for the loss of Crimea to Russia. I’d say that more than covers whatever debt Ukraine owes Russia.
