President Barack Obama kicked off a campaign to promote new restrictions on U.S. power plant emissions on Saturday by tying the fight against climate change with efforts to promote better health for children and the elderly.

In his weekly radio address, Obama said the United States had to do more to reduce carbon emissions so that children suffering from asthma and other related ailments did not face further problems as a result of polluted air.

Obama said the new guidelines would reduce smog and soot that threaten vulnerable populations such as the young and the aged and he said up to 100,000 asthma attacks and 2,100 heart attacks would be avoided in the first year the standards went into force.

1st qtr, 2014 U.S. economic growth was at .01% or less indicating that the economic goal of “Sustainable Development/Agenda 21” as adopted by the U.S. has largely been met. This also fulfills the machevellian wish of Maurice Strong, UN Chairman of UNCED aka The Rio Earth Summit where in 1992 he articulated the veiled intentions of the “Plan for the 21st Century- Sustainable Development/Agenda 21” by saying this in regard to our “unsustainable” high consumption of natural resources which is, according to them destroying the Earth; “...isen’t it our responsibility to bring about the collapse of the industrialized countries?” Now, to become truly as “Sustainable” as Bangladesh, more vital work is quickly needed to further collapse and “Degrow” the economy. This will be accomplished by more draconian restrictions on business and energy use which will be mandated by arbitrary regulations spawned by the bogus hype to save the planet from the dread effects of antropogenic Global Warming aka Climate Change aka Climate Disruption.

There is a lot of evidence connecting anti-bacterials, such as hand sanitizer, with asthma, as well as causing other health problems.

From your linked article:The anti-bacterials did not cause the specific diseases (e.g., asthma and diabetes) and additionally, the relationship is just an "association," not quite the same as causation.
Nevertheless, it was a very informative article, especially for a skeptic like me who never uses anti-bacterial wipes, still uses salt, eats bacon and eggs, red meat, etc. Thanks ...
