Maybe some really, really angry calls to HOR reps and US Senators put the pressure on. Other angry topics...arming the terrorists the gov likes the best in Syria, and not doing something (it wouldn't take much) to get that soldier out of the Mexican jail.

I get the feeling that behind the scenes the DC crowd is as fed up as we are.

Sounds like the British are the ones that put pressure on Sudan.

“The UK Foreign Office this week said that it would push for Ms Ibrahim to be released on humanitarian grounds.”

I just hope they release her and her two children soon.

“So, she’ll be free, but is she going to live in Sudan?”

I think her husband is already here in the US, so I hope she can come here.

If we can find room for our president’s illegal aunt & uncle (RIP Auntie Z.) we can squeeze this woman and her baby in too.

According to those who organized a petition signing,

"This week Meriam gave birth to a baby girl. But disturbing news quickly followed. According to Meriam's husband, Sudanese prison officials left her legs shackled as she was giving birth. The government does not plan to allow the child's father (Meriam's husband) to see her much. The child will be imprisoned with Meriam, and Meriam's 20 month old son."

Let's keep the prayers going, ping!

> Abdullahi Alzareg, an under-secretary at the foreign ministry, said Sudan guaranteed religious freedom and was committed to protecting the woman.

Since she was put on trial, that’s obviously a baldfaced lie.

Thanks Islander7.
