How does that old saying go? "two times measure, one time cut."
In today's journalism, "three times read, one time understand..."........Got it, thanks
I recall seeing a blackface minstrel show as a kid in the late forties.
Good for Mrs. Aaron.
Since she is described as "Adrienne Aaron, whose husband is African-American", I assume she is white. In which case, the grievance-mongers and politically-correct crowd won't deem her opinion worthy.
What’s the answer? Teach them nothing at all? Ooops I forgot, we are already doing that with Common Core!
It was a video and a history lesson. The teacher did nothing wrong. Blackface happened. Monroe admins are ignorant b00bs. He’s missing his retirement celebration due to stupidity...not his.
36 year is not age. It is how long he’s been teaching. Monroe admin.is embarrassingly ignorant. Mr. Barron is missing his retirement celebrations due to stupidity of those ignorant.
The article attempted to say somewhat clumsily that he has been a teacher for 36 years.
Any bets on the race of the vice principle who stopped the presentation?
Don’t know the race, but she has been a social studies teacher at Monroe Middle School. That would put her and Mr. Barron in the same department, if the middle school even HAD departments. Her Facebook page has been scrubbed, but that may not be recent.
ahaha I couldnt agree more.
its purpose remains a mystery to me
Remember Der Bingle In White Christmas the Minstrel number? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad6DStQxzkYristmas?
Minstrel-esque, but no blackface for Der Bingle or Danny The K.
The teaching by showing the video is that white people are racist.
You are correct. I mixed up my movies, it was Holiday Inn and he sang Abraham in Black Face.
