If our enemies weren’t running our country we would have found him the day he went missing and made our other enemies weep with frustration and despair.

He told his parents in emails he was ashamed to be an American; he no longer believed in the US Army’s mission and that he was thinking of deserting. He also mailed home uniforms and books - reasoning being, why would you need uniforms if you were deserting?

Now every terrorist organization in the world realizes that the US DOES negotiate with terrorists despite long standing policy that we do not. 5 of the worst were released from Gitmo for 1 man that most likely deserted. This puts an even larger target on the back of every military person over there, to say nothing of civilians.

YEAH, and if it had been YOUR RELATIVE you would be rejoicing.

So I guess you are saying he should have stayed captive.
Because of these 5 frightful characters.

Get a life.

So when those “frightful characters” as you put it, put together another plot similar to 9/11 and thousands of Americans are killed on US soil, that’s okay with you because we got back a person that likely deserted?

Remind us of your feelings when one of your relatives are on the next plane to come down due to one of “frightful characters”.

That's OK; we got drones with hellfire missiles. I am sure we can find them as soon as we get our guy back home.

....in exchange for five Taliban terrorists. Obama has made a big mistake.

Short term gain for long term loss.

I am glad for his family, but the means by which he was released are very troublesome.

Fox is now reporting the man child prompter reaer is going to the Rose Garden to claim credit....not good.

"The Tyrant Obama released 5 terrorists..."

I wouldn't be surprised if Obama gave them a lift in Air Force One last week when he went to Afghanistan. They said he visited the troops, but did they specify U.S. Troops or Taliban?

Five terrorists released, and the station chief in Kabul is outed by someone in the White House.

The heroin trade is booming.

What connection can be made here? Hmmmm.

He wasn’t just freed. He was traded for 5(I think) terrorists.

In the military this kind of math is not taken as lightly as you take it.

The military is used to the balancing of life and death math, it is how they can plan a day that they know in advance, will result in the deaths of a thousand American men, and the maiming and loss of limbs of thousands more.

Rolling Stone magazine quoted emails Bergdahl is said to have sent to his parents that suggest he was disillusioned with America’s mission in Afghanistan, had lost faith in the U.S. Army’s mission there and was considering desertion.

Bergdahl told his parents he was “ashamed to even be American.” Bergdahl, who mailed home boxes containing his uniform and books, also wrote: “The future is too good to waste on lies. And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong.”

Bergdahl’s family has not commented on the allegations of desertion, according to Col. Tim Marsano, a spokesman for the Idaho National Guard.

You mean the trade the Rangers made with the Tigers.

The swap would have made sense if it was done YEARS AGO..he has been in captivity for five years now..and now they decide to do the swap, and seeing Obama on TV like he made this huge accomplishment, its all about taking the focus off of the VA scandal, he doesn’t give a damn about this soldier..I am glad that he has been released, he should never have been captive for five years to begin with. Am happy for his family they deserved to have their son home safe, but Obama acting like he did something heroic is sickening, he did a trade

" The Florida Marlins and Detroit Tigers have agreed in principle on a trade that will send Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to Detroit for key prospects, sources told ESPN's Peter Gammons on Tuesday.

The Tigers would send outfielder Cameron Maybin, pitcher Andrew Miller, catcher Mike Rabelo and minor league pitchers Eulogio De La Cruz, Dallas Trahern and Burke Badenhop to the Marlins."

looks like it could be.

The most important thing in the article is that Obama again ignored the laws he agreed to uphold.

Obama was supposed to notify Congress of any release 30 days prior to their release. Would like to see the rest of the law.

Well, we don’t know exactly what the Rangers gave up yet. If it was a bunch of Andrew F***ing Millers, then you got a deal. Other than having to pay the fat ass’s salary, that is.

Something doesn't seem right. The father grew a long beard to honor his son and the father learned Pashtu...the language of his captors so he could send his son a message.

His son was having trouble with English was the excuse. I don't believe it.
