NEW ORLEANS -- Herman Cain, who ended his 2012 presidential campaign amid allegations of multiple affairs, said Saturday that he might run for president again in 2016.

Cain, in a speech at the Republican Leadership Conference here, brought up the prospect of another run toward the end of his speech. He then suggested he would do it if he were called by God.

“I do not know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future," the Georgia businessman said. "And I trust in God.”

Cain, 68, was a brief front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2011 but dropped out, before any actual votes were cast, in early December of that year.

I like Cain.
I liked his 9-9-9 plan, at least as a concept to consider.

But he handled the woman thing badly.

"But he handled the woman thing badly."

I agree. He probably won't run again. He has to know that they will come back again.
We need somebody. Fatso in Jersey ain't the one.
Dr. Ben would be good. Alan West would be good.

Exactly, we don’t need any Rick Santorums, Mike Huckabees and Rick Perry. or Mitt Romneys. They need to huddle and get behind a NEW candidate that hasnt been through a meat grinder by the other contending candidates. I’m thinking Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, or someone that hasn’t been vilified and trashed. Herman Cain quite far too easily when it got HOT in the kitchen. He won’t get my vote. He should have stood up to his accusers, it made it look like he knew she had the goods on him and he was guilty.....

I have no idea of the truth, but Cain did the following:

Denied doing anything.
Paid off the women with whom he didn't do anything.
Ended his presidential campaign because he didn't do anything wrong.

Clarence Thomas (whom I have always respected) had only Anita Hill. Herman Cain had 4 women.
Clarence Thomas says his behavior was perfectly fine -- and I believe him 100%.
Herman Cain says his behavior was perfectly fine -- and I see how he handled it, and all I can really say is: "Boy, you handled that badly."

RE: So what happened to the last accuser?

Two of the sexual harassment accusers, Sharon Bialek and Karen Kraushaar turned out to be a he said-she said scenario.

Finally, On November 28, 2011, Cain asserted that a woman named Ginger White would be claiming to have had an affair with him, and that the allegation was not true.

An interview with White was aired an hour later on Fox 5 in Atlanta. In the interview, White said the affair lasted 13 years and ended right before Cain announced his presidential campaign.

On November 30, 2011, Herman Cain denounced allegations of sexual harassment and adultery as “character assassination” during an event in Dayton, Ohio.

On December 3, 2011, Cain announced he was “suspending” his campaign for the presidency following allegations of sexual harassment and adultery, which he denied.

That was the end of his run.

This is the kind of BS that the media loves to play. The media are a bunch of satanists.

I am sure he is being pressed by the RNC to run again as the token black. We also need a woman and a Hispanic to fill all the boxes.

I don’t know why Carson keeps showing up in these threads. He may have been an excellent doctor, but he is not presidential material — at this stage.

He needs to go through more local election processes. He has no idea what onslaught will hit him if he tries for the ‘top spot’ out of the gate.

Politics is a dirty business. One has to be prepared to get dirty (from the mud slung at them) and they need to be prepared to play dirty (sling mud at their opponents). Other wise, nice guys finish last.

Ted Cruz and Allen West - that would be sweet. Dr. Carson definitely appointed to a high profile position. Sarah Palin, Secretary of State.
